Astha embraces its vision to become a factory for cutting-edge technologies in various areas of computing. Besides providing IT solutions to its clients, we at Astha want to engage ourselves in promoting our innovative and applied research in software and information technology.
In order to realize this vision, Astha has started a unique program that blends industry with academia. This program invites brilliant students from reputed universities of our country and abroad to undertake their undergraduate or graduate level theses in collaboration with Astha within its state-of-the-art environment. The program provides students with the much needed exposure to IT industry and enables them to take the aid of experienced industry professionals who guide them in converting their research from theses to practice, thus educating the next generation of software researchers and practitioners in advanced software technologies.
Astha welcomes research on any cutting-edge and contemporary areas of computing and information technology, however prefers research with emphasis on any of the following topics:
- Advanced algorithms (primarily focusing on information retrieval and pattern recognition)
- Applied artificial intelligence
- Software architecture and framework development
- Advanced software engineering technologies
- Web technologies and rich internet applications (RIA)
- Middleware technologies (e.g. math and physics engines for scientific simulations and entertainment software)
- Advanced computer graphics and visualization techniques
- Gaming technologies
This program is being conducted as a joint collaboration between Astha and the universities of our country, where the latter mainly provides the theoretical insight to students where Astha emphasizes more on providing technological and implementation-specific support. The best thing we do with our students’ research is publicize and promote them in international industries and conferences through our own marketing policies.
