And Astha answered!

Once again it was time for our anniversary tour, and the destination we chose was – Cox's Bazar. The journey of the Astha team (AKA, The "A" Team) began on the eve of 29th of April and the next three days just passed in water and sand!

Cox's Bazar is a little piece of paradise on Earth and every time we go there we realize why. We needed a break from work and Cox's Bazar delivered one in the grandest style possible. Our techiest of developers forgot about C# and jQuery and were instead mesmerized by the marvelous white sandy beaches, palm and coconut trees and the sleepy blue ocean.

It was indeed fun and relaxation to the maximum. Nature has an amazing effect on human mind because when we resumed work, the most complex of problems looked really trivial!

Three days of 'Sawadika'!

It was that part of the year when everyone at Astha has only one thing in mind – our yearly tour!

Earlier this year, the tour issue started to boil up and we had several team discussions regarding where we could go this year. Guys came up with several alternatives that included India, Malaysia and Thailand – among which the latter won by a substantial margin!

So it was Thailand where we were heading. It was a trip much anticipated and everyone was super excited as this was the first time the team was traveling abroad together!

The Astha team flew to Thailand on the 18th of February and spent three magnificent days at Bangkok and Pattaya.

It was undoubtedly the best office-sponsored trip we ever had till now, but we are confident that the better is yet to come!

Happy birthday to Astha!

Time just flies!

I remember the day when Astha was born a year ago – we had a small office with 3 staffs only. After one year, we are celebrating its birthday in grand style in an office double the size with a team four times larger!

Our growth has been exponential and we thank the team for their tremendous hardwork to make it possible. Our heartfelt thanks goes to all our clients as well who are continuingly relying on us as the partner and the service provider of their choice.

Now, let's get back to the details of the party, shall we?

It began in the office – we arranged an awards ceremony recognizing the best three talents we have, where the recipients of the awards received gifts raging from 500GB portable hard drive to surround sound system. The best part of the show was – every other member of the team, starting from the CEO to the office peon, also received small souvenir that proves we care for all. This part of the event ended by cutting a cake specially designed for the anniversary party.

The team then went to the Sports Zone and was engaged in various recreational activities – the major portion of which was a bowling competition! As we grew hungry, we went to the exquisite Casablanca Restaurant for dining. The food was great, but the gathering was better. Not only it included the current members of Astha, but also all the individuals who are though not officially the members of the company but made significant contribution to its growth.

The finishing event of the party was probably its best! We went to Move-N-Pick and jumped on the ice-creams. Each of us competed to have as many scoops as possible, as if we never had ice-creams before :)

The Official Anniversary Party 2009 was simply awesome – something we will never forget, something we can never forget, something we will always cherish!
